Well, the decent ones anyway.
For some unknown reason I became convinced I didn't have to use flash, so half of my photos were all blurry...VERY annoying considering beneath the blur they are really cool - there was one of Dan mid jump :(

So, in no particular order...
(Although how many layers Dan is wearing gives a clue as to how far into the show it is!)

Funktastic piano, but a bit dingy:
(He does look a bit evil, doesn't he? Darn red eyes...)

Again, flash made it very dark, but still pretty cool. Not sure if I used any zoom for it...possibly a teensy bit.

I'm very annoyed at myself for not making this landscape...

Possibly my favourite.
Just been speaking to a friend on MSN who I haven't spoken to for ages. She moved to New Zealand about 5 years ago...haven't seen her for 4 years. She's brunette now which confused me as she used to be really blond! I also discovered she's coming to England in September for a few weeks so hopefully we'll get to meet up!
I was nastily surprised at my reaction to her question of "how have things been going for you?" or something to that effect. I suddenly felt really not very happy, and found myself realising that 2006 really was a disturbing year. From July onwards things went downhill and I'm still feeling the after effects and trying to...er...climb back up in time for uni.
Grr I have a lump in my throat now...*scowls*

It's a charity thing my college do each year. This year it's for save the children, and basically all of year 13 get to 'break out' of the science block dressed in "wacky" costumes.
Anyhoo.
My group are having a Star Wars theme. This weekend I'm going to go and measure up our trailer (our transport for leaving the coach park) so that I can get some black material to cover it with. We're going to have stars on it and something like "the Force is with save the children" in silver.
For costumes some of us are dressing up as star wars characters, or, like me, a random jedi. Any ideas for how to make a costume/get a cheap lightsaber are welcome! :D

At this precise moment (ish) my sister and two of her friends are about half way through FotR. When I last looked in on them, they were dividing the Fellowship up as to who would marry each one. I do slightly retract my comment about how she is a good Padawan...heh. I must admit it disturbed me slightly to hear my likkle wikkle sister respond "Because they're really NICE!" when I asked why they were carrying out aforementioned activity. I'm, like...NOOO! You're my baby sister! You can't have...HORMONES! *gasp* One of them is a Legolas fangirl though, and Alex (a she) seemed discontent with the fact that she was 'left' with Merry. I didn't dare ask who my sister had picked, I think I would have run away...!

Anyhoo...I'm all hyped up on goodness know what...too much computer I think. Trouble is I need to go and do some work in a bit which is quite depressing.

OH OH I LIKE THIS SONG! *dances* YAAAAY!

I do apologise for what must be a very annoying post. *BOOGIES*

Oh! I think I am also in a odd mood because I'm listening to the music on headphones connected to the computer, which results in very fuzzy sound for some reason...hehe it's having a funny effect on me...

Lalala...

So...must of been a couple of years ago at least that I read Eragon. Last summer the sequal (second in the Inheritance trilogy) arrived - Eldest. I wasn't too impressed, but usually when I re-read something it's much better. (note to self: re-read Eldest)

It's supposed to be a children's book, and it is, but I liked it anyway - Eragon, not Eldest, that is.

My friend Lizzie and I are sort of 'fans' - although her much more than me. So when we heard that they were making a film of it, we were APPALLED. (however you spell it. dictionary too far away.) It was written by an American, fair enough, but we assumed that in the film they'd have American accents; a thought that terrified us because it sounded so cheesy! (no offence) Plus - with the exception of LotR - when they try to make a film of a book it's never usually quite right. (Another exception is I Capture the Castle.) An especiially dangerous territory for book-->film conversion is the world of fantasy, because it can just be so tacky and cheesy. AND I loved my imagined world of Alagaesia - I don't want it meddled by a film!

I've just watched the trailer.
And...well, as I far as my tone-deaf-to-accents hearing can tell, they've given them all british accents. So it's not that bad in that respect.
It DOES look slightly cheesy, but at the same time it kind of captures the "epic" streak in me, and I think I will have to exert serious self-control as so to reatin MY version of the Eragon world.
I'm not saying it looks good, but it's just...very DIFFERENT to how I imagined it would be.

However...
...even just on the few minutes of the trailer there were some serious LotR clone-scenes/similarities.

Roll on Dec. 15th...or not, I'm not too bothered!

I KNEW there was something I'd forgotten!
Finally...the last episodes of Lost hit out TV screens here in merry old England. OKay, so it was just the end of series 1, but still...oooh the aticipation!
I now have a new saying: JIN JIN ON BOAT. Don't ask. It just amuses me for some unknown reason.

Made me so close to crying when he was accepting the fact Voldemort was going to kill him!
Wow...that makes me realy sad, doesn't it? Crying at a Harry Potter film...?

Can totally understand the 12A rating! I was scared at times! (okay, so I am THE biggest wuss in the world, but that is NOT my point)
The Death Eaters were pretty scary. Really reminded me of the Ku Klux Klan those freaky hood things.
I've been texting Katie who is at the Fellowship Festival in London today. She, being very lucky, is getting ready to go to the Fellowship Feast - a top notch meal and entertainment with the LotR guests. Ok, so Billy Boyd isn't there this evening, but I'm envious all the same!!

So far she's met Richard Taylor, who I've now resolved to meet as she said she's very nice, and Royd Tolkien, and says that Craig and Mark are hilarious...I have also decided to see them at some point as well. Oh, and I think the Hobbit dance workshop is a must!!

I've ordered my Billy Boyd autograph ticket...I need to pick it up there. I've been printing off all the related emails and order confirmation because it's unlikely I will recieve a confirmation in the post because of how late I ordered it. I am determined for nothing to go wrong...*fingers crossed*

On a slightly unrealated note, we had a bantum cockerel in our back garden. The people behind us own him (and a whole load of other chickens) and he somehow managed to escape, and the magically get back home.
Odd creature.

Oh and I now have a job. Well, I'm going in on Thursday to get an introduction. It's at Springwells, a hotel in the high street, so in easy walking distance! Apparently I'm going to be doing a lot of cleaning and some waitressing. We'll see how I get on...

I slept SO BADLY last night...and it wasn't connected with results at all. I watched Lost and then went up tp bed, and read some of Eragon (I'm re-reading before I delve into Eldest!). It took me over an hour to get to sleep. I couldn't settle and in my mind I kept dwelling on things that I really didn't want to dwell on. Everything gets blown out of proportion, and I ended up feeling so...I dunno...ARGH. It was probably about 2am ish I got to sleep. Then I woke again at 4-something til gone 6. The birds were all chirping happily away outside...and again I was dwelling on things that should not be dwelled on when it is just yourself and your paranoid mind.

Anyhoo.

I went into school with Emma and queued at the 'L - P' table. It had the longest queue and none of my friends were in it. Then Lee came over and we complained together about the queue.
I know the lady who actually handed over my results - she goes swimming on Saturdays as well. At first she couldn't find my sheet...I was thinking "TYPICAL! I would be my results they muck around with!" But then she found them.
And all was good.

I had a cover sheet telling me "Congratulations! Please come to blah blah blah at such and such a time". Not many people get these. *feels smug inside*
:D
I got 5 A*s and 6 A's.

The A's: History, Art, Eng lit, eng lang, Maths and ICT.
The A*s: Science, German, RE and....GRAPHICS.

WHAT? How did I get and A* in GRAPHICS, the bane of my GSCE life? You heard how much I complained about it...and in the exam I left so many questions unanswered.
Not that I'm complaining, though. Mucho pleased with results.

Doesn't make deciding what to do next year much easier, though...

Oh, and I had to have my photo taken with the other people who supposedly did very well. We had to look very happy and wave and be all "Yeah! We are academic!" It didn't help that we were looking into the sun. I think my face was all screwed up...

WOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I need to order my Billy Boyd autograph ticket...
My day pass arrived whilst I was away. It's SO COOL. It's all posh and plastic with a hole so you can attatch it around your neck for the proper 'convention' look. My...why am I paying so much attention to the ticket?!
Ah, I know why. I did a whole graphics project on tickets.
